The timber-frame structure is wrapped in highly-insulating structural-insulated-panels (SIP's) and the basement is constructed from Insulated Concrete Forms (ICF's), creating an air-tight shell.
Custom designed for an active couple retiring from careers on the East coast, the home incorporates a common New England element - the timber-frame.
